The Nonprofit Alliance of Monterey County has given it's 2014 Awards, and we wanted to give a shout out to the following winners:
Advocacy/Social Justice - Legal Services for Seniors
Arts & Culture - National Steinbeck Center
Education - Breakthrough for Men
Environment/Animals - Save the Whales
Health Care - Veteran's Transition Center
Human Services - Food Bank for Monterey County
Sustainability - Leadership Monterey Peninsula
Youth, Children & Families - Community Partnership for Youth
Staff Award for Innovation - Stephany Soto, Community Program Director from Central Coast YMCA
Staff Award for Leadership - Nancy Murphy, Director of Placement Programs for Kinship Center
Personal Achievement - Sylvia Ramirez, Prevention Manager for Sun Street Centers
Running a non-profit is no cake walk, and I congratulate the Executive Directors at all of these great non-profits for their great work.
