Monterey, CA Trans Fats To Be Removed From Foods By 2018, Could Save 7,000 Lives Per Year

The Food & Drug Administration (FDA) gave the food industry three years to remove artery-clogging Trans Fats from our food supply, a move that is expected to save thousands of lives per year. Trans Fats will be removed from all foods by 2018, a move which the FDA believes could prevent 20,000 heart attacks each year and prevent 7,000 deaths from heart disease each year. This is great news.
